Embedded Software Engineer

Who are we looking for?
To strengthen our R&D team, which is always striving to deliver the next generation in high tech lab instrumentation, we are looking for an enthousiastic, capable embedded software engineer. Within the group, you carry full responsibility for writing, testing, debugging, documenting and maintaining the firmware for the various instruments we manufacture. Also you maintain and improve the existing codebase where necessary.
We are currently in the process of transitioning our embedded platform from a bare bones C-based controller to a full-fledged Embedded Linux environment so you can step right into a challenging and interesting project. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that works closely together and challenges each other to develop the best solutions to sometimes complex problems.
If you know your way around C++/C# there is also room to assist in developing and maintaining our various PC data acquisition applications.
What do we expect from you?
- A completed HBO/WO education in Technical Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 3 years of experience in a similar position
- Solid programming experience in developing embedded solutions in C, Python, MicroPython, Yocto, Embedded Linux
- (near) native in English
- Currently living in The Netherlands with a valid work permit or EU resident willing to relocate to The Netherlands
- Good interpersonal skills
We consider the following qualifications as a plus :
- Experience with development with FPGA’s
- Experienced in C++
- Working knowledge of electronics and PCB Design
- Experience in UX-design

- Full-time (40 hours) contract with salary matched to your experience (€ 3600-4500)
